  1. Ok, I am quite sure that you must get some very strange replies to your page but, I assure you that this is not one of those!

That being said,… first, allow me explain how I even came to view your page. I am just about to finish one of the last classes for my degree in graphic design. I realized that I had forgotten to take one of my basic composition classes to graduate so I decided to take it this summer. Yesterday was the first day of unit 2. [Find a CD cover that conveys grief or rage , blah, blah…I’m sure you know the rest. While searching via Google Images for album art, approx. 12 rows down, I see this solitary photo object image of a Spirograph. Hoping that at some point some random band had used the image as album art, I clicked the link. Although I quickly realized that I really needed to re- customize my searches, I began to read your story about your growing up with the amazing tool and how you re-discovered what it meant to you after your daughter received one from her Grandmother (aka your mom)

    Now, for the creepy part…lol

I think your art, your take on things, and your visual interpretations are awesome… I don’t know your age but I am 37. From your take on the “FishSticks” episode (my boyfriend and I still laugh at that one) combined with your hilarious portrait of Kane West, I found myself drawn in. I live in San Francisco now, but in college I lived on Halsted and Diversey and love Chicago, one of my very favorite places in the country. One of my closest friends owns a kids clothing line there called ‘Lima Bean Kids’. But, I digress…

Anyway, I found you, your work, and your genuine take on life compelling enough that I had to write to you to tell you this. {{{I feel like a serious weirdo for my need to tell you this}}}. I assure you that I have NEVER written to anyone for such a bizarre reason (I don’t even like to write to anyone unless it’s for a class or unless I absolutely have to).

I now realize now that tying this up might be a bit awkward ….. So, have a great day… and remember you are a talented individual and hope to see your work again one day in on your page or in your blog or published worldwide if that were the case. It would not surprise me!

    Most Sincerely,

(I think I’m actually embarrassed to press “Post Comment”… lololo

  2. Hi! First of all, thank you for the awesome compliment! I always try to prepare myself for a little disappointment whenever I open comment emails because there’s so much spam floating around, but this seriously made my day! I’m glad you decided to send it.

Also, just so you know I have moved my blog from over to (for a bunch of boring reasons but mainly so I could start selling paintings and messing with the CSS of my site). So, if for whatever reason you want to check out my blog again the latest and greatest is at (basically the same address without the wordpress stuff at the end). If you happen to check it out, let me know what you think of the new look. 🙂

Thanks again for the kind words. Have a great day!
